Horizontal forehead lines
Horizontal forehead lines caused by the repeated contraction of the frontalis muscle are treated with Botox. This allows the skin to relax, and the wrinkles disappear or are visibly reduced. If the lines are deep, the Botox treatment can be supplemented with injections of Restylane (hyaluronic acid) or laser treatment.
 
Frown lines
Some people have a tendency to knit their brows, and the habit usually gets more persistent as time passes. The contraction of the corrugator muscles involved in frowning causes wrinkles that can make a person look stiff and severe. The preferred treatment in such cases is to relax the muscles with injections of Botox or Restylane.
 
Crow's feet
Crow's feet are yet another kind of expression line. The formation of vertical lines on the upper lip is due to repeated contractions of the muscles around the mouth when we eat, drink and speak. The lines are often more pronounced in women who smoke. They are treated with injections of very small amounts of Botox and Restylane.
